My Story

I quite literally followed the footsteps of my Granda from a very young age, spending every minute I could in his workshop. It was probably here that my passion for making things was born- people have told me that wood is “in my blood” but either way, there is no doubt of my passion and determination to be the best craftsman I can.

There is an obvious joy and love of my craft evident in every step of the process, from initial conceptual ideas right through to the finishing process. Every aspect of a build is important to me and whatever material choice or style of furniture, you can guarantee that I will guide the decisions for the most valuable outcome.

Made to make

I previously worked in IT for over a decade, and struggled with mental health issues badly during these years. Woodworking was a therapy and a revelation of what I felt I was made to do. I strongly advocate creativity for mental health and want to dispel some of the myths around working with your hands.

My passion for woodworking spills over into workshops and personal tuition, where with my own style of teaching, I love to teach all levels at all ages in my workshop based outside Newtownards, North Down.

Values

Exceptional Craftsmanship

Every piece is meticulously hand-crafted, with real love of the process . The aim is to strive for hand-made perfection.

Uncompromising Quality

Only the best materials, which are individually selected are used, with a focus on the beauty and longevity of the final piece.

Sustainability & Eco-Conciousness

Any new wood is FSC certified, but reclaimed timber and local naturally fallen trees are also used. Locally made furniture drastically reduces carbon footprint with zero air miles and when built to last, saves any more materials.
